Membership Renewal 2009-10

Glen Huntly Tennis Club invites you to renew membership for 2009-10 by 30 June 2009.

Renewal fees are: Adult: $165 Under 21 years: $90 Family: $330 Midweek: $125

We urge you to pay by direct credit to our Club’s Account (Glen Huntly Tennis Club BSB No. 013260 Account No. 8636257). Use a computer or deposit/transfer at your bank and please ensure your bank includes a Reference for our Club’s Bank Statement of [Your Name]/fees. Any queries regarding membership fees can be emailed to Leo Cuerden on Cuerdel@dodo.com.au. You can still pay by cheque/cash (Leo’s address is 34 Cochrane Street, Brighton 3186) or leave it in the clubhouse box.

About 10 small prizes will be drawn amongst 2009-10 members paid by 30 June 2009.

Fees for renewals after 30 June will be the above rates (plus $20 for admin).

Please email any changes to ghtclub@gmail.com. We need a current email address to communicate quickly. Further, we pay $22 per member to Tennis Victoria for costs & your insurance – if you belong to another tennis club let us know details to complete records.

The Committee and interested members have worked well to boost our Club. Recently our Club set up a new website at www.ghtc.com.au and email address at ghtclub@gmail.com.

A successful Open Day was held attracting visitors and new members. The working bees have been effective. We again applied a water-saving treatment as recommended by South East Water – so we can use all 4 courts and contain water use.

Working bees will be held at 11am on 21 June, 6 September and 29 November this year. The Annual General Meeting will be 9 August 1pm (plate to share & social tennis from 2pm).

Major work is being done to attract financing to resurface our courts. The total cost would be $30,000 plus per court, so grant assistance plus our own efforts are essential.

Attracting new members is important, so please urge anyone interested to look at our website at www.ghtc.com.au which includes an application form for new members. New member fees will simply be the renewal rates (plus $40 for admin & court key). Also note that Visitor’s fees are $10 per player visiting and light fees are $20 per court used per hour.
